Barb, a co-owner of P&O is someone who truly values family, whether she’s enjoying time with her grandkids (her favorite pastime), gathering siblings and cousins for a weekend in NYC, visiting (or hosting) family and friends whether it involves getting on the ground playing Candyland and building Lego trains or serving up a nice meal…she’s happiest surrounded by loved ones. Golf, cooking, travel, and a good glass of wine are also high on her list, but mostly when they are shared experiences with family and friends.
She’s proudest of her role as a parent, raising a son who’s now a hardworking professional and a devoted dad himself. That sense of quiet pride extends to her professional life too. Over the years, Barb has built a legacy of developing talent, not only by helping early-career employees find their passion, but by mentoring and guiding senior team members into leadership roles that shape the company’s future. She’s had a hand in the growth of many, and it’s something she reflects on with real meaning.
It’s no coincidence that P&O has both long-standing clients and employees with 10, 15, even 20 + years of tenure. Barb believes in investing in people, from daily conversations with staff at all levels, to standing alongside her colleagues during major milestones. For her, it’s about connection, continuity, and creating a company where people grow, stay, and succeed together.
Barb’s passion for giving back extends into her long-standing leadership on boards of both professional and non-profit organizations, where she serves in high-level roles that shape direction and impact, reflecting the same strategic mindset and commitment to growth that define her work at P&O.
Ask Barb, and she’ll tell you it’s a team effort. We just happen to have the best team around!
